
SPORTS
The college offers ample facilities
for sports persons. Games like Handball, Kho Kho, Badminton, Kabbadi, Table
tennis, Judo, Basket ball and Volley ball are regularly played under the
guidance of trained sports persons. The players are also trained for various
athletic items. The sports department also allots special wings for various
games every year. This year the college has Handball wing.

LIBRARY
The library is an impressive
source of knowledge in the form of books, periodicals and reference
material. At present, library is well stocked with over 27000 books
inclusive of 200 dictionaries and 65 encyclopedias. The college subscribes
for 19 newspapers and 45 magazines/periodicals. The holdings of the library
are computerized. About 500 members visit the library daily. The students
get course books issued from the Book Bank section of the college library
every year. This year also 400 students get 1200 books issued from the
Book-Bank. On an average 150 books are circulated daily. The library
provides online database search, free Internet surfing and e-mail facilities
to the staff and students.


HOSTEL
The college provides hostel
facility for the staff and students. A 92-room hostel for the students has
an excellent mess and spacious playground. At present there are about 275
residents in the hostel. A separate hostel consisting of 10 flats is
available for the teaching staff. One more hostel block has recently been
added to the hostel building to accommodate the onrush of new entrants. Ch.
Bhajan Lal duly inaugurated it. The credit of smooth functioning of the
hostel goes to Ms. Mohinder kaur.
COMPUTER CENTRE
A Computer centre is functioning in
the college since 1996. It offers various courses. The centre is well
equipped with 14 computers. Students are divided into groups of 15 for hands
on practice of computers.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Deserving students are given
scholarships to continue their studies on the basis of their performance in
studies, sports and extra-curricular activities. Scholarships are also
available for poor students and for the students belonging to backward and
schedule caste.
HOBBY CLASSES
After the college time the
desirous students are enrolled for the following hobbies :-

Dances Classical and Folk
ii) Mehndi
Decorative designs and Ethnic patterns
iii) Beauty
culture Facials, Health tips, Hygiene and personality
enhancement
The students under the
careful supervision of Dr Anita Sehrawat, Dr Shveta Sharma, and Mrs Sangita
Sharma take up these hobbies. Competent guest faculty imparts the training.
These activities will help the students to find for themselves some
economical independence.
NCC
NCC unit was established in
1959 in this college. This year NCC unit (Army Wing) of 107 students is
functioning under the supervision of Mrs. Manisha Bansal, lecturer in
English. After a long period of 30 years Air Wing with 10 enrolled students
has also been re-introduced from the current session.

NSS
The NSS unit of the college
under the guidance of Mrs. Sunita Bhargava, Lecturer in English has 90
students registered with it. The unit has organized Tree plantation camp,
Eye camp, Pulse – polio campaign, cleanliness campaign, Netradaan rally
during the last four months.

CAREER GUIDANCE WING
The career guidance wing was
established in the library as per instructions from the Higher education
commissioner in 1998. The wing has about 200 books regarding different
careers and small-scale industries for providing guidance to the students.

PLANNING FORUM
The educational tours are arranged and
provide assistance regarding Banks and Industries. The in charge of Planning
Forum is Mrs. Usha Jain, Lecturer in Economics.
WOMEN CELL
Under the guidance of Dr.
Shveta Sharma Women Cell is working for creating awareness among the
students regarding rights of women and other issues relating to women. This
year women cell organized a state level seminar on women empowerment.
